best place ive gone to is S turns in the outer banks. too bad im in jersey and its like 10 hours away. thats the closest to consistency you are gonna get on the east coast i bet. plus its warm, always a plus

I might argue the point about conditions on the mid-atlantic. But I think that has more to do with those who surf,.. ALL YEAR ROUND, and those that DO NOT.
Since the end of AUG, the DelMarVa has seen a very consistent run of surf.
I too have grown weary of some of the issue that plague our quest for surfing action on this coastline. But I remain grateful for what is given.

Yeah at a in OCNJ and Cape May I see a few ladies out . I am all for diversity. If a lady can shredd and take a shot over the falls as good as a guy more power to them
gurls r so cool in da water. unfortunately, i c maybe only 1 gurl out wen its not summer tyme. most of my bros get all rowdy when gurls surf, u no, bc they are so sexy. i like 2 'respect' woman tho. i dont get 'boners' like them in the water. i say surf, bros, thats y we r here, not 2 gawk at play things.
but i totally agree with u 2 about how east coast is so 'inconsistent' and no one 'notices'. ive been telling my bros this for years n they just dont care. i stay true 2 myself tho and go on trips down the coast 2. the best surf i find is usually in the gulf. its ez2 learn there. so warm too.
as far as a good wetsuit, definitely get a hyperflex. they are true 'surfer' authentic. they keep u so warm in the summer and so much more 'warmer' in the winter. i never see ne1 wearing them, so thats how i no ive found my personal 'brand' 2 perpetuate. i like to be different when i ride my quad fin fish and look for different things to make my personal brand. all my bros agree 2.
Hey there! I'm a female surfer, or was (was a surfer, still a female)until I finish college in a year. Then I'm headed to a coast, but I've pretty much ruled out returning to the mid-Atlantic because I got really frustrated trying to learn to surf on ankle-breakers or over head-high hurricane swell. I just want a place that gets consistent decent waves. Anyone know of any good locations?
Sorry I don't have any advice for you regarding winter wetsuits. I was in OCMD just for the summer and I used an O'Neill springsuit.

but ne ways, u r totally a great photographer. if u came bak 2 oc 4 sum reason i'd totally want u 2 take pics of me n my bros throwing wild tail over over some consistent 'ankle-breakers' or 'over head-high hurricane swell'.
i lyke wen we wuld take pics in pyramids with bros on top and below me. felt really 'authentic' with bros all over each other, like before we were bros n we wrestled in elementary school/clean fun/not weird. u bring bak that spirit in us. also, i lyked taking pics with friends who were gurls with arms around each other n we smiled n paid 4 pics. felt really 'cool' to perpetuate a personal 'brand' with my picture n girl next to me picture.

Go to OBX it is the most consistent wave on the East coast for sure. Many days you can ride waist to chest high waves with good form.
yeah i get mad here in nj one day perfect sets next day its closing out
thats why im taking a trip with some buds down the west coast for waves and our friend moved out there he says (san deigo) he never checks the waves just anytime he wants to go out he does cause there always something
