Why not go straight to the source, http://www.ebodyboarding.com,
Ask for Jay and you'll be talking to a certified professional who knows whereof he speaks. His wife Vicki is just as knowledgable, refer to their profiles if you don't believe me. http://www.ebodyboarding.com/Contact-Us and just click on "Owners" to see their background and knowledge base.
I ordered a beater board from atlanticbodyboards.com and it took forever to be sent. When I finally got it they sent me a color i didnt ask for. I emailed the guy back and rather than fix his mistake he cried about running the whole business himself and having to move his store and told me the one he sent would look better in photos?
Oh and it was also supposed to be free shipping according to the website and the owner who i spoke to before placing the order but shipping charges still showed up on my card.
This board is the sh^t.

Yes weight really matters.
But if your like me this would help, im 6' 3" 180-185lbs and I ride a 42 inch.
If your less weight i would say 41.75 - 42. If your much heavier then shoot for around 43 inch.
The dimensions are the most important but when it comes to a board maker that are a lot of great ones. Most top models are going to be good enough and it comes down to the rider but I know bz, Morey, Nmd, science, found etc are all great. For all around riding go with polypro.
Im a big fan of churchill fins and stealth, I go into a ridiculous amount on this little topic on my site www.churchillfinsreview.com I would recommend any fin on there and with other fins i review that arnt good I say in the review if they suck : )
