as i said before, i am undecided whether it should be street legal....

BUT... if we want to help the economic crisis, make it legal. start growing it and have govt taxes on the stuff. And using hemp for all kinds of resources... would stimulate many industries.

In my opinion, any hallucinogen, depressant, stimulant, etc other than like caffine or something present in normal foods and drinks is a crutch, and a person who gets so bent out of shape over the prospect of not having it is a weak individual. Maybe you have a crappy job and "need to let off steam," or you're just a cool 20-something with one of those nefarious, ever-hip "open minds," whatever, but if you can't handle life sober, then you're weak. Simple as that. You're a slave to a temporary moment of artificial relief.

i don't use it, but i see no reason why it shouldn't be legalized altogether. especially with alcohol still being legal. and like others have said it could generate a lot of taxes. i am surprised it hasn't been legalized, because honestly it's pretty mediocre as far as severity goes.

The thing is, I don't really know anyone who gets bent out of shape over the prospect of not having marijuana... but do know people who get bent out of shape aka relapse and get deathly sick because they were on pills and other things.

Some people have no choice but need relief. I mean they can just off themselves and not have to deal with the pain, but they would rather be alive.

here's a question for the legalization folks: are you cool with full legalization with some restrictions like must be over 21 and no driving under the influence? or must legalization happen with no conditions?

On this one I know a bunch of guys who live in poverty because they would rather smoke than quit and get a good job (most good jobs do testing). That says something.

I'm still up in the air about street legalization, but I'm all for medicinal and decriminalization. The 21 age rule is something to think about, and of course, I'm all for no driving under the influence.

See how you said "they would RATHER smoke than quit and get a good job"... that's their choice. They aren't addicted and can't live without it (trust me, they can if they wake up and want to). And also, in regards to the job thing, it's bull**** to get tested, because why can you go to the bar after work and get hammered but can't go home and relax with marijuana?! Makes no sense to me!

Good replies. Most of those same guys who won't quit to get better jobs are dead set against applying DUI laws and that infuriates the piss out of me.

I don't know enough about how long THC affects to body so I can't really comment on the testing but I'm Guessing the booze is fast and shorter acting where as THC could impair for longer periods. That would be huge in health care (where I work) since you really wouldn't want your surgeon a little stoned as he cut into you.

No offense to you or your friends, but they seem like the immature, petty ones who are for marijuana, and I'm sure you agree..haha.

THC affects the body in different ways and is all related to the way you take it in. Smoking it vs vaping it vs ingesting via edibles... they will all have different affects. The thing with testing, alcohol leaves your system almost right away (obviously depends how much you consume) where as the THC from marijuana can be in your system from 3 days to over a month (depending on how much you consume).

I totally agree with you on not wanting your surgeon stoned as he cut into you.. neither would I!!! But people don't realize that being "high" is completely different than drunk.
