my dad had a 88 ranger manual and we loved that thing. it had like 150K when it started giving us major problems like having little engine fires. and that was when we decided to get rid of and get his new truck.
mine is a 3.0l with a 5 spd automatic
Ive seen ton's of ford's with 200k + miles, still running strong.
that said, I live in FL, which just happens to be one of the flatter states in the north continent. (in both waves and landscape) and everything is so spread out here compared to other states, so Im sure that plays a part in the longevity of the vehicles with higher miles.
