thats a shame. do they always talk about how great it is up north and how they cant get a decent cheesesteak sub or pie anywhere down here?.....Im familiar with the type

don't listen to these clowns...i go to wilmington and it's a great place. Beautiful women, warm water, great fishing, and oh yeah beautiful women with a great bar scene. Even if the waves suck its always a foot and a half bigger than anywhere in sc, plus hatteras is 4 hours away if you want some real juice...out of state isn't that bad compared to other places either. yeah there are some kooks if you surf wrightsville, but there are a lot of other breaks within 15 minutes that are far better, with a much better vibe...ok rant over

ps. Besides Charelston, SC sucks...don't waste your time going there ever.

dude unless if ur parents are paying for school dont go your going to take on about 80K plus in debt to graduate from uncw if your all about surfing , move to some where with waves work for 5 years then go to school when you ready life is not all about going to college getting a degree working a 9-5 retiring in 30 years

I agree. I want no part of Charleston. Too many people in and out of the water

cricha you misunderstood me... Charleston is the only reason i go to SC, and the occasional swell that has nw winds in folly and ne in se nc...and you wanna talk about koooks go to folly when its chest to head and offshore... I've never seen so many people that look like they can barely swim let alone get barrelled...but folly can get real good on the right swell and winds (when spots in nc aren't quite in the right direction for the winds).. double rant over, i just hate when people talk **** about NC when they have no idea
