These are two photos that I took with my phone from the dining room in my restaurant while the servers were setting up for dinner tonight. This was at about 4:45pm this afternoon, right as they lifted the Tsunami warning along the CA coast. This is a view facing North above the La Jolla Cove.
I just thought it was a cool picture, because right after a brief rain, a HUGE rainbow appeared and ended up stopping right, litterally on top of the Scripps pier. I grabbed the camera, and as I took these photos, not only did the rainbow grow and stretch towards me, a second rainbow formed to the left, and that rainbow ended right, on the South Peak at blacks...
So, im looking out the window thinking. There is always supposed to be a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. These are two of the best pots of gold a surfer could ever find. Scripps and Blacks, two premiere breaks, basking in a couple of rainbows....
You can see the strange texture on the water from all the weird tide shifts too..
And they wonder why I always stand at our windows, staring off into the ocean. ITS BECAUSE I CAN SEE BLACKS!!!
