I posted this before, but the Navy just started testing sonar in a triangle at sea off of Wallops Island, VA last year. Since then there have been 3 whales at assateague and one in Delaware last winter and now two in OC and DE this year, not sure about Assateague because they don't get the coverage the other beaches do. I think surfrider or someone should really look into this.

I doubt it was from sonar, there was a brutal storm along the coast that could have f*cked it up. We caught the tail end of it pulling out of port about 2 weeks ago...it's awful, really sad to see something like this happen again.

I put some pictures from the whale necropsy on my site. That thing was much bigger than any of the other dead whales that I have seen

    Question

any of you boys up in town there know if this thing is still on the beach? i wouldn't mind going down to take a look.i wish i'd known they were gonna perform the necropsy right there on the beach,i'm a vet tech & i would have volunteered to give a hand. i know this whale was huge,so it is gonna take alot to move it,so is it still there?
