my brother is about to get one so ill be surfing it as well but in a 5'11. however that board in that size isn't really thick and i would suggest to go a little bigger maybe 6'3 for a little more float to take into account your paddling. the width and thickness of the 6'1 is the same as my dumpter diver and i ride that at 5'7. but if you dont mind the possibility of lack of float go for the 6'1 and have fun with it

Funny u said that. This morning I called the shop to switch the 6'1 to a 6'3. I just felt the lack of float.
What do u think abut such a pull in tail. I was thinking it might not work on jersey sucky mushy weak surf.
Bought a 6'3 from brave new world a few weeks ago and it has been a great addition. Have only had it in the knee to waist range since thats what NJ has been seeing but its an easy paddle and is a wave catching machine. You'll enjoy it no doubt.
