I predict this system named Colin to hit a state trooper in Dewey sometime in the wee hours of Saturday night/ Sunday morning. I'm waxing my knee quiver in anticipation.

Ha, I read about that a week or so ago, sucks. Maybe it will happen.

I would not get real excited about this storm. Is barely a tropical storm and is moving west @ 24 mph way too fast to strengthen. It is also heading to an unfavorable area that may completely destroy it. If it were to make it through I doubt it ever gets to hurricane strength.

    For us down south

NOt sure about you jersey boys getting excited, but for us down in VB/OBX I for one am hoping for some solid chest high south swell landing on Sunday. Forecasted path doesnt look like Jersey will see much, probably be down graded beofre you guys see any swell from it, but a tropical depression can send you guys some solid swell. Early storms usually produce some nice clean fun surf for us down south, so im excited

    Hurrican Mode

Micah, last year when a hurricane swell was arriving you had a "hurricane mode" on the maps which seemed to change the forecast/models. Is this going to be happening again or has this been integrated into the current forecast?
