    earl was a bit of a let down out here in rockaway beach. the week leading up to earl had some very nice surf though...

    Lol, if you surf Hammels with 900 kooks then any swell will be disappointing. Queens and LB went off on Friday. If you were in the area and were disappointed you screwed up big time.

    i dunno, we went out and it wasnt breaking right, had a serious backwash that disrupted the waves... maybe wrong area or time to surf

    No went out Uptown. was only able to get in for like 45min. but all we had were closeouts and backwash. I heard Long Beach went off... probably cause its more exposed to the ocean then we are here in the rock.

    did you hit rockaway Santos?

    Yeah, caught it super fun and playful in the morning and big and clean at the afternoon high tide. It was very big and very manageable at the spot I paddled out at. The Rockaways are full of good breaks if you get away from the zoo.
