It's a tough job.I began the day I turned 18 for a local company that serves the east coast building and maintaining towers www.stellartowers.com. It becomes treacherous in de through winter when temps 1000 feet up get 20 degrees colder ! And your up there fixing an antenna for nine or twelve hours in layers of clothes bare handed.. Oh and by the way the climb is easy considering you either climb up a heavy bag full of tools or a huge rigging rope. I have taken a hiatus to study the engineering aspect of the job and give my body a rest.
