so idk if you have your heart set on CR but check out this website. www.surfaricharters.com. these are some people my brother and i have stayed with four times already and they are first class. its in nicaragua which is amazing, offshore winds 360 days a year so many more wave options than costa in a short boat ride away and the best part of staying with surfaricharters is its all inclusive. they only thing you have to do is fly there and they take care of everything else, all you can eat drink fish and surf! check the website for pics and vids. i think they are running some specials in november and december too so its worth looking into. again idk if you have your heart set on Costa but nica is the better, no best option.

"CR" i am guessing you are referring to Costa Rica? From December to April is the dry season in Costa Rica, this brings consistent offshore winds and the coolest weather despite little rainfall, but the water is still in the low 80's. Going during the dry season is great because you will be able to access some of the hard to get to surf spots like Ollie's Point and Witches Rock via car that you would not be able to cross during the rainy season!
"dry season in Costa Rica, this brings consistent offshore winds and the coolest weather despite little rainfall, but the water is still in the low 80" WAHT???? to the other guy, Costa Rica has only two seasons dry and rainy season. December trough April is DRY season over here and Guanacaste can get pretty hot.... but offshore winds, sunny skies... hey waht more can you ask for....
I've been to Costa Rica a couple times, and my first trip down I went to the North Pacific, CR. And I surfed Witches, Ollies, Playa Grande etc. When I was there I just missed the end of a swell so the surf size was pretty moderate at the beginning of the trip and had gotten really small by the end of the trip. Last christmas and this christmas I went and am going to Dominical which is South Pacific, Costa Rica. When I first got there the waves were at least head high and glassy and it stayed that way for most of the trip. The waves had good form and the locals were really friendly. Plus you have Pavones which is a two hour drive south which could be a nice day trip or Playa Hermosa which is about two or an hour and a half north. Dominical is a great surf spot and has reasonable prices if you are looking for good surf and somewhat quiet surf town that is an awesome spot.
