So, my residence is now Tinton Falls, NJ since the beginning of November. I got in one really good session my first week here, and then dislocated my shoulder a couple days later. So, I'm sidelined for a while, as I rehab the shoulder
Definitely a little different vibe here as compared to Delaware, but its been pretty cool so far. around
I'm looking forward to meeting some people out in the water after the shoulder heals.
The couple times I have been to Del I have alway had the feeling that the state was behind the reset of the others ( I have only been to Wilmington , Dover , And Lewis) Seems like there is nothing around or that could just be differnt suroundings vibe you get when you are someplace new for the first time.
Glad you are digging NJ and hope ya heal up and get back out in the water soon
Hey Bro! Welcome to Jersey! Hope you like it here- its really a different vibe- sometimes good... sometimes not so good! But the good thing is that there is a wide varity of breaks here- you just gotta find the right sand bar/ jetty set up! From the few times I surfed in DE- I believe the waves are alot more consistant and better here! Hope you get back in the water soon!
you should make it a priority to check out redbank if you haven't already. many good restaurants and bars, shops and generally a good place to spend a nice afternoon. hartshorne park in atlantic highlands has some great hikes and views of the ocean and shrewsbury/navesink rivers.
Welcome to the Garden State. There's a really good, albeit, expensive, Italian place called Portofino Ristorante in T Falls. It is family owned and it's located on Tinton Ave.
It has some of the best Italian food I've had, including some top NYC places. Save it for a special occasion, as like I said, it's pricey.
Hope your shoulder rehab goes well.
Also, there's a nice easy bike trail through Sandy Hook. Park in the first lot and it's like 12 miles round trip.
Hope to see you out there soon.
P.S. You need to change your location in your profile to NJ
