The whole idea of riding an Alaia is to get back to the roots of surfing. Riding one with a leash on has to be the lamest thing I've ever seen.

Yes, it is attempting to get back to the roots of surfing. And, yes there is a leash law at WB. However, being the lamest thing you have ever seen is quite sad, mate. Have you ever seen the movie Chairman of the Board? Have you seen the people that still have their "Obama '08" sticker on their car? Come on, lamest...really? Your attempt to belittle someone for doing something a little different is sop****ric and pathetic. Being different is at the roots of surfing as well. By the way, you should try riding one of these...then you will have respect and not contempt.
