I used to surf the big winter Nor-Easter swells at Poverty Beach in the early seventies... these huge north swells would swing around the cape and break over the knee deep rock reef... the North wind was offshore there as you see in this photo... my friend Angelo and I were the only ones who surfed there... the double overhead top to bottom pitching tubes were like pipeline only the water was 29 degrees...
