i'm guessing the sky was clear where the sun was peaking out and the clouds were still covering where the photog was standing, thus the contrast. Regardless of how it was done, sick shot (watch the horizon though).

perfect shot in my book...i know nothing about photography but it seems to me that you captured the moment perfectly.

It's a point & shoot cam & I am no photographer by any means. I set to auto & snap a few if I can. I was watching another wave when I saw that down the beach & quickly took the pic.
