This shot belies the closeouts that were typical on Friday, but for those who ventured to Assateague, the conditions approached classic Assateague. Long forgiving lines with even longer rides- but then you had a long paddle back out as well. The size, and the shape and the warm water all came together, even eough to be snaked by a couple of Atlantic dolphins who picked off some of the best waves of the day.
