I like how there are 3 layers..foreground/middle/background...I like how the wave is positioned in a clean rule of 3rds..and that the rider is looking where my eyes are drawn. Sponge or stick we all want to be in the barrel..

i was there from beginning to the remains of the swell. it was big and surprisingly not closing out like hermosa usually does when it gets big.

love the shot, shows you how sick costa gets. i was surfing NW Pac from 4/20-4/27 biggest days we got were 6-8ft proper in grande and avellanes. this had to central pac i'm guessing, where abouts was this taken?
