Hurricane Earl was certainly a storm to remember. Earl lived a highly monitored eleven days, originating just west of the Cape Verde Islands and spending his final days skirting up the Mid Atlantic and Northeast coastline during the labor day weekend. At the peak of Earl's life, he was a strong Category 4 storm packing sustained winds near 145 mph. Earl was a monster, but thankfully he spared the US coastline from any destruction, and blessed East Coast surfers with bountiful surf.
We thought we would commemorate the life of Earl with these ten user submitted photos of the Hurricane Earl swell.
