I had to redo this report. Anyway, yesterday Hull was going off with head high and some occasional overhead sets. Great day to surf, surfed 1 - 3PM. Winds started out W, then WNW, then NW/N. Sometimes semi-glassy, sometimes texture, sometimes chop but the lines always had long sections, some barrels even. Spray in the face on many of the rides. I had some great drops on a 7\'2\" board, only a couple long rides, but one of my drops was like a true Pipe squirt-out drop, really fun ride. Some long rides had by all. Surf was a bit better than forecast. Looks like other East Coast locations were bigger than expected. Probably some 10 foot plus faces everywhere, not just the south-facing beaches even though it was a south sort of swell. Must have been some favorable winds out there somewhere - like East or NE, who knows - a great day of surf. Nice way to kick off the winter swell season.

Low to mid-tide had perfect, nicely-spaced 10s - 12s surf - no junk in-between. Easy as pie to catch and drill the waves, occasional wipeouts on inside boils. Waves only slightly worse at mid to high (although buoys are still peaked at 11s so it\'s out there somewhere). Rips tended up a little at mid-tide today but great waves for shortboarding. Still some leftovers tomorrow. Last Sunday was fun too, more of a windswell but still fun.

Very clean, solid shortboard surf, offshores were stiff (30mph+), but not enough to hold back some real punchy rides. Waves easy to catch and long rides through mid-tide. High-tide backed off in size and punch. Some head+ sets.
