SURF STATION'S ST. AUGUSTINE FLORIDA SURF REPORT. Welcome to the St. Augustine FL Surf Report! Updated daily with photos, videos, blogs & surf media!

WEDNESDAY:

6:45 am:  The waves look smaller than yesterday at this time.  Knee to occ thigh high and inconsistent.       On local buoy the ground swell reading is 2.6 feet at 6.7 seconds down in duration from yesterdays  2.0 feet at 10 seconds.    The wind is very light & variable (see current wind here). You can see the surf before the box #1 photos are up up  on our cam.

7:30 am:  Early morning photos are up in box #1 and you can see it’s quite glassy early.  What the photos do not show is how inconsistent it is.  A long wait between sets, and the larger sets are even less consistent.   Evenso, there are some occasional waves at least thigh high and the form overall is good as you can see in the photos.

9:45 am:      The wind has turned ever so light onshore (see up the minute wind here) so the glassy conditions will not be around much longer.    There has been no increase since earlier.   In fact it may be a little smaller than some of those set waves seen around the higher tide earlier today.

11:45 am:  The wind is still light but onshore. The waves are still small. Mushy on the outside bar and little dumpers on the inside that appear about knee high. Clouds on the horizon.

4:25 pm:   The wind has picked up onshore so it’s choppier.    So not as good as earlier.   The surf looks small and choppy overall.   The good news is the water does not appear near as dirty.  Cleaner looking water.    But small knee to maybe thigh high choppy surf…
