There seemed to be more than one direction going here. It was windy. The undertow was very strong. Needless to say, closeouts and fast crumblers with no hutzpah were the order of the day. Save your energy.
There were some rideable shoulders today. None of the bigger waves packed any real punch, but you could definitely trim and pull some spins. A nice reprieve for the less experienced bboarders. The surfers seemed a little too picky today. A wave is a wave and if you're too good then maybe you don't ride for the fun but you ride for the flash bulbs. Photos are fine and good, but remember what it's all about. If you're not Slater or Irons, then don't front. Catching a wave is always a thrill, whether you ride it to shore or pull some stunts.
