I recently went down to Panama with a buddy of mine Bill Gallagher. Upon arriving with no place to stay due to someone never showing up to pick us up at the airport, we had to figure the whole place out on our own. Taking taxis to places we thought looked good and ended up running into some of the best breaks I can remember. And if you like barrels, beackbreaks and reef passes this might be entertaining. Thanks Eastern Surf Magazine and Red RedDog SurfShop for supporting another film of mine. Thank you Olmedo Eduardo Guiraud for spending time on the beach filming.
Ventured out to central america with Bill and Golden. In search of waves we found scorpions and monkeys dispersed among the jungle. Living in net secured thatched roof huts, only having bare essentials, accompanied by sporadic solar powered electricity. This was truly off the grid. It was a challenge to manage electronics to capture moments with half charged batteries. The waves, super rippable, the food...fresh and amazing. This trip has a chapter in the books. Enjoy!
RIck Mellen and Andrew Fletcher were on the search for just the right sandbar for this mysto refraction swell. Everyone had their eyes on Jupiter FL while the boys were on the hunt for something different, something unusual. They found just that. Amongst bulldozers and protruding pipe into the ocean, was a wave that was man made. Super fun, hollow and racy. With good vibes and clean water, this wave was more than what was anticipated. Enjoy.
currently on esm. retro.spect. looking back at my last year or so. traveling to places and documenting along the way. venturing to california, puerto rico, bahamas and even near by locations such a talbot island, aswell as the enfamous new smyrna inlet which i proudly call my home. i have done some edits with these clips in the past but i feel this edit justifies them. please enjoy. FILM - casey collins, john perkins, paul dimarco, kate peeples, chris tropea. SONG - white lies
Planned a trip months in advance to California not knowing what to expect. Rolling the dice on the waves and just hoping for the best. As I neared my trip it only looked like the best conditions possible. 9 days of little to no wind and combo swell?!?!? Between the swell sneaking under the radar and the consistency all trip long I was stoked. Erie helped with and ticket and my buddy Sean accommodated me with a place to stay. Felt like I took a trip to central america but for half the price. This is video was all shot with a SOLOSHOT tripod and used a sony handycam cx series. The thing never missed the shots and no one complained about missing waves!! Enjoy!
