The Lane - February 2008On February 9th 2008 Steamer Lane, Santa Cruz, CA went off with double overhead surf. All month "The Lane" and all the best NorCal surf spots were getting great waves from storms in the North Pacific.

SoulI have wanted to make a black and white surf movie for a long time. I had the idea in the winter of 2006...I was looking outside and thinking of the loneliness of winter surfing on the east coast. Lonely paddles lead to uncrowded waves in the winter in the mid-Atlantic region, but at a cost. This film has the color properties of an east coast winter with a touch of some really sweet soul from California. Enjoy... |
