Costa Rica Playa Grande
5-8ft Shoulder high to overhead surf with poor shape. The swell dropped a little overnight. Still, there was way too much swell and weather for this beach. Mostly walled and closeout waves this morning with bumpy, choppy blown-out conditions. The swell still pushing a bunch of current through the lineup. The wind was onshore by 8:00am.The Tamarindo Estuary had head high waves this morning with fair to good shape and it looks like the outer reefs were firing again today. We had an early morning high tide of 8.03ft @ 7:11am moving down to a low tide of 1.79ft @ 1:13pm and then coming back up to a high tide of 7.51ft @ 7:23pm this evening. If you are planning a trip to Costa Rica or Central America and want more surfing information, contact us at Info@UnaOla.com or give us a call at 1-888-958-SURF.
