Corolla, NC:
Yes, we have clean surf! The wind is off-shore, low tide is at 3:07 PM and wave height is thigh. Looks like today could be a decent longboard day. The sun is out and the wind is only blowing at 9 mph which means wind chill is nominal. NOTE: CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS SUMMER. FLYING OUT NEXT WEDNESDAY FOR THE SURF EXPO. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP

Fun south swell at Lake Worth beach. Surf has been surprisingly consistent here in south Florida!

Corolla, NC:
Yeah! It snowed last night. Corolla only got about 2 inches and it will probably melt off by tomorrow. The forecasted air temp for Friday will be 50 degrees F. Current wave height is about chest high with an off-shore wind. If you had a 5/4/3 hood/helmet & 5mm boots & gloves, you might be good for an hour in the surf. Current air temp is 31 degrees but the sun is out warming the “hood”. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP

Corolla, NC:
While the rest of the (inland) eastern US is experiencing winter storms, Corolla seems to be dodging a bullet. The wind is out of the North at 19 mph. This has chopped up ocean conditions despite the fact we have sections in t head high range. Air temp is in the low 30’s, factor in the wind speed and wind chill is in the low 20’s: NOTE: THIS IS OUR 22 YEAR OF TEACHING SURF LESSONS. corollasurfshop.com/lessons

Corolla, NC:
Surface  conditions have cleaned up and there is surf today. Wave height is chest to head high w/distinguishable sections. The reason is that wind speed has dropped down to 6 mph and is out of the NW. However the off-shore wind is pushing warm water (Gulf Stream) out: lowest water temp of the year: 38 degrees Fahrenheit.
