Good afternoon! The surf is still flat out here today. The wind is blowing out of the North at 11-13 mph with stronger gusts. I hope everyone has had an awesome Sunday. We will give you another report at sunrise tomorrow morning.

Corolla, NC:

I just took thee pictures at 10:20AM. Hurricane Sandy is hitting Corolla w/a 55 Knot wind. Trying to face north & get decent pictures is a challenge. The wind just blows rain water into the camera. We have passed high tide and although there is some over wash on the North Corolla. To all my friends in Carova…hunker down. NOTE: I’LL KEEP POSTING ALL DAY LONG!! GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP

Cape Hatteras, NC:

N wind at 35 to 45 mph. highway 12 is closed at oregon inlet due to ocean over wash and sound side flooding.

Big sets will be rolling in all day long and it will most likely get cleaner as well. Still very dangerous conditions especially for the inexperienced . Please be safe.

. Chest to head high with some bigger sets. Winds are NE early and will be all day. Should build throughout the day. Looks like some fun little waves.
