lots of water moving with high tide. set waves are still overhead and somewhat closed out and disorganized. it's probably better in the tri villages. high tide around 6:30 AM. wind forecast to be SW at 5 to 10 mph.

more katia swell filling in with doubled up closeouts and current. forecast calls for SE wind 15 mph. low tide around 10 AM.

a little bigger, messier, and more doubled up than yesterday. south wind at 15 to 20 mph not helping it.

swell from distant hurricane katia is starting to fill in with some doubled up closeouts and backwash. possibly better at a higher tide except the wind is forecast to become south at 15 to 20 mph.

Still a little swell but the tide is really low this am and the sandbar is shallow so the waves are walled up and breaking all at once. Should improve as the tide fills in some if the wind holds off as it supposed to pick up out of the SW.

NE winds again today, choppy conditions, rideable. The last 2 pics were taken the morning after Irene passed by.

Bit of a swell, NE wind. Pretty cool air temps for this time of year. Feels good. The last pic is during the storm when the sound tide was out here from the SE wind before it came flooding back. Nothing new to report on the road. Still closed.
