Good morning. It's a beautiful morning out here at Pensacola Beach. The wind is blowing out of the NW at 3 mph causing glassy conditions. The surf unfortunately is totally flat. It is a perfect morning to take out your SUP (stand up paddleboard.) Ernesto has 65 mph sustained winds. Magicseaweed is showing chest high surf on Wednesday and chest to shoulder high surf on Thursday. I got my fingers and toes crossed for that one. We will give you another update around midday. Cape Hatteras, NC:

definitely cleaner behind the motels than the first jetty and a little bigger than yesterday. definitely doable on a wider short board. shape is poor/fair and hopefully will improve with more water. wind forecast to be SW at 10 to 15 mph.

Pensacola, FL:

Good afternoon. It's still cloudy at Pensacola Beach but it is really beautiful out here today. The winds are really light out of the SSE. My wind gauge was reading 3.5 mph at the Cross which is causing glassy conditions. The surf at the Cross is totally flat but at the Pier it was running ankle to shin high. If you wait for a long time you may even have a knee high set come through ever so often. The air temperature is 82 degrees. Walked to the end of the Pier and took some pictures and video. There is tons and tons of marine life in the water right now. I saw some Spanish, a Ramora, and some Skip Jack. There are 1000's of bait fish too. It would be a great day to take out the SUP! We will give you another report at sunrise tomorrow.

Good morning. It's cloudy out here at Pensacola Beach today but it's still very pretty. The surf is totally flat. I didn't see anything breaking at all. The winds are blowing out of the ESE at 5 mph causing for semi glassy conditions. The models are still showing some surf coming in Wednesday afternoon but Thursday looks the best as of now. I took these pictures at 7:45AM. We have a steady off-shore wind and a swell that is coming from the ESE. That is leaving us with an on shore break with very quick rights. The tide is going to need to drop. We also have a drop in water temps: Corolla is down to 68 degrees Fahrenheit. You will probably need to spring suit.
