Good afternoon. Well the surf hasn't come up yet. It's still running ankle to shin high. I did see one set at the Pier that may have had a knee peak but it broke really close to the beach. The winds are blowing out of the WNW at 6-8 mph causing for semi glassy conditions. I am not really seeing the push behind the wave like earlier this morning but who knows. It's the Gulf and the surf can change at anytime. We will give you another report later this evening. Have a great Monday!

. A TROPICAL WAVE...ACCOMPANIED BY A WEAK AREA OF LOW PRESSURE LOCATED ABOUT 800 MILES SOUTHWEST OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS...IS PRODUCINGAN AREA OF DISORGANIZED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS APPEAR CONDUCIVE FOR SOME GRADUAL DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS. THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW CHANCE...20 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES WESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH.ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.

Good morning! It's a windy morning out here at Pensacola Beach. The wind is blowing out of the West at 12 mph this morning causing for choppy conditions. The surf is running ankle to shin high right now. I do see some push behind the waves though so hopefully it will build throughout the day. The air temperature is 84 degrees. Keep your fingers crossed that the surf will build. We will give you a midday update later this morning. Have a great Monday.
Small again today. Knee to waist high at best. Winds are light SE early and will be throughout the day. May see a little wave towards the end of the week.
The change from yesterday to today is the wind is coming off the ocean. But the change is wind has not kicked up the swell: wave height is in the knee cap high range. I would call today conditions tide dependent. The more well defined sandbars should be working. NOTE: THE NEXT THREE WEEKS ARE GOING TO BE VERY BUSY. Good afternoon. It is an awesome day on Pensacola Beach. Unfortunately the surf is flat, but it is a beautiful day out here at the beach. The winds are blowing out of the SW at 12-14 mph causing for choppy conditions and the air temperature is 88 degrees. Not much traffic on the beach now so that's good. Just looked at some models and it looks like our next best chance at any type of surf is going to be tomorrow afternoon/evening. After Monday our next best chance of some small surf is next Saturday. Soooo keep your fingers crossed for tomorrow afternoon. We will give you a sunrise report tomorrow morning. Enjoy your Sunday!
