Cape Hatteras, NC:
Lots of east in the swell with a low tide. Looks good for a couple of seconds right as the wave loops over but shuts down quickly. Very cold standing on the beach this am. Strong offshores.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
An easterly swell mixed up with a south. Very unorganized. The winds are pretty calm this am so it's hard to say choppy but the swell is choppy. Looks like from the wind forecast cleaning up right before dark or just after.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
Kind of rideable on the best sets. Smaller, inconsistent, still NNW so a mix of sideshore and offshore. Not as windy but it still cuts through you like a knife standing on the beach.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
Swell has dropped and the tide is too high. Cleaner than yesterday morning. Probably be rideable on a lower tide. It will be inconsistent and small. Water temps are dropping. Yesterday might have been in the upper 40's if it was in the 50's it wasn't by much.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
Still some swell but this am the tide is way to high and there is still a lot of cross swell in the waves. The wind is NNW so every where north of the first jetty is sideshore and south of the first is is a mix of sideshore and offshore

Cape Hatteras, NC:
It's a long time between breaking waves and my battery died before I could get a pic of a breaking wave. It's really windy and very cold standing on the beach. There is a few short rideable waves out there. Right now a little more offshore than the past few days but there are whitecaps sideshore on the outside.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
I saw one set right when I walked up. Stood there talking to a friend for about 15 minutes and didn't see another. They are there but far and few between. Has a sideshore cross wave. Wind has a lot of north with a touch of NW. Water temps are dropping fast.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
Swell still has a lot of east so it breaks all at once and then reforms in the trough. Fairly clean at the first but a sideshore bump everywhere north of there. Rideable if you want to get wet.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
Dumpy and over quick but rideable at the lighthouse. Mostly north wind with a little NW. Swell has a lot of east in it. I haven't seen Frisco but understand it is chest high on a good set. Sounds like it backs off quickly over there also.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
Sorry it's a little late, had to wait for the rain to settle down. Hard to say how big it is because it is so windy and blown out. Supposed to stay windy all day. The forecast calls for Westerly winds late. Which usually means shortly after dark, but you never know. It has a long way to go to clean up.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
Pretty junky south easterly swell with not much shape, forecast for increasing winds. I'm guessing about chest high on the biggest peaks.
