Good morning surfers! Surf is up and big. It is chest to shoulder high with some BIG sets coming through. The wind is 12-15 out of the SE causing for very choppy conditions. It looks super drifty out there. I could see the current screaming down the beach. I would find some kind of sheltered break that will cut the wind and current. You may lose size but it will be super duper fun!!
Nothing to get excited about but I saw some lines that weren't to bad. If you plan on going might be worth the trip. I would suggest staying south of Satellite as it seems a bit choppier in Cocoa. Have fun and be safe.
Small and choppy. Waist high with some bigger sets. Winds are Light SW early but will increase later in the day. Similar conditions for the next few days. Get on it early before the winds pick up.
Good morning surfers!! Surf is still up! On the east side of Pcola beach the surf still looks to have stayed at the waist to rib high range. I am sure that I have lost some size coming down east. The wind is howling at 16-18 mph. I couldn't keep my glasses from fogging up from the sea spray. The Gulf Coast Half Marathon is today and is going to gum up traffic this morning. They will have the roads closed so take alternative routes to the beach or be happy going down to Fort Pickens. I will have another update later this morning.
Fun lefts with more size than yesterday at the Point. The conditions are perfect; offshore winds, sunny day and no crowd. One boat on the way to Salinas Grandes.
Fun sized waves today in the 3-5 ft range. Surf was very good early at dawn, got a bit flat later, very good again, flat later, and so it kept going the whole day. Some bigger sets moved in at sunset time. Both morning and afternoon sessions were really fun! New SSW swell is filling in tomorrow!
SURF IS UP!!!! Looks super fun!! Lefts are rolling down the beach at rib to shoulder high and sometimes a head high set!! Winds have let up to a dull roar at 12-13 mph out of the SE. If you haven't already...go surf! It really is fun! Whoohoo and we have this all weekend long! Yahoo!!
Sorry for the delay...kids soccer games come first!! I only get to do this for so long!! :) SURF IS UP!! Thank you God!! The winds are 12-15 mph out of the SE. It's solid rib to chest high!! I saw bigger surf coming through AND is saw some sets breaking outback! It's only supposed to get bigger! I can't wait! Whoohoo! Not sure about the jellies but the purple flag was flying. Talked to a few guys on the beach and they said they were having fun!
All the weather that is in the Central USA is pushing the winds East creating “fetch” and created swell that is heading to Europe. This is the 3rd day of Ankle Slapper to a Weak kKnee. We found a small knee high wave and manage to have an early AM Surf Lesson. But we are heading into high tide and the ocean is flatten out. NOTE: COROLLA SURF SCHOOL IS WIDE OPEN AND WE ALREADY DONE A NUMBER OF LESSONS. PLEASE USE OUR ON-LINE RESERVATION FORM TO LOCK IN YOUR LESSON SLOT (TIME). GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
