we are stoked cause we actually have a fun wave to ride. tide has turned around so it should be staying fun. wind is supposed to go south though, soon! hurry and get on it
I took these pictures in Whalehead this AM at Herring Street. The wind turned yesterday and is blowing out of the ENE. We have choppy surf with a side-shore current. The incoming tide might pushed the size up. If you have younger inexperienced surfers, my recommendation would be to wait for the ocean to calm down. With air temp in the 40's, the wind chill will feel like the high 30's. NOTE: WE GOT A SHIPMENT OF CARVER SKATEBOARDS AND WAVE SKATER BODY BOARDS. WE HAVE DEMOS FOR YOU TO TEST DRIVE. blah. choppy start to the day. wind forecast to be NE at 15 to 25 mph diminishing to N 15 to 20 mph by late morning and then slowly working its way to the NW and diminishing some more by evening.
Waist high with some bigger sets and clean. Winds are NW early but will switch to the SW later in the day. Some fun little waves can be found at the right spot/tide. Get on it early before the winds come onshore.
Double overhead sets hit the reefs this morning. Nice long open rides at Suck Rock although the swell was a bit inconsistent, and sometimes the waiting was long. It got really good when the tide shifted, and started going out, about 9, and for a while the waves were coming in very consistently. Strong onshore blew everything down at noon, still the afternoon session was fun! Getting a bit smaller tomorrow, but still very good!
