The waves have been dismal for LI in 2012. Here is a video of the scraps from this year so far. My tolerance for the lack of waves has been aided by board selection and one so called immaculate confection- Chocolate Jesus
Yesterday's rough surf has been replaced by today's calmer conditions. The wain has turned from ENE to the SSE and wind speed has dropped down to a 9 -10 mph at this AM posting. We have an incoming tide and wave height is in the knee cap high range with only select breaks working due to a drop in swell size. But the good news: spring like weather with air temps rising all week. NOTE: YES! WE ARE OPEN FOR THE SEASON! GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP, GARY COROLLA SURF SHOP
Choppy conditions in the waist to chest high range. Winds are on it from the SW early and will be for the next few days. Looking good for Friday morning as winds go NW.
