Cape Hatteras, NC:
still the same swell as yesterday but maybe a hair smaller. mostly broken up lines but a few waves do seem to hold up. wind is forecast to be east at 5 to 10 mph today so i'm guessing it might lighten up as the day goes on. water is in the 70's. high tide around noon-ish.

mostly waist to chest high with a few bigger sets. choppy but is rideable. wind forecast to be east at 10 to 15 mph. frisco is waist high on a good set.

the surf looks like it did when i was in california last weekend......small and glassy. wind forecast to be SW at 10 to 15 mph decreasing to 5 to 10 mph from the south. high tide around 9:30.

still a small se swell left, clean conditions with calm winds and light rain. Tide is too high and it is inconsistent. Should improve as the tide drops out later

a little smaller and much cleaner than yesterday. water feels warm. low tide around 8 this morning. wind forecast to be south at 5 to 10 mph increasing to 15 mph this afternoon. waves are coming straight in to the beach so no sweep to them, mostly sectiony closeouts with end sections to ride. first two photos from the motels and the third from the lighthouse.

a little bigger and a lot sloppier than yesterday as a weak low pressure trough approaches from the east. winds forecast to be east at 10 to 15 mph. low tide around 6:15 this morning, next high tide 15 minutes past noon. water feels in the low 70's.
