the swell has dropped considerably since yesterday morning. wind is forecast to be northeast at 5 to 10 becoming northwest this afternoon. sunny skies. water temp was low 60's yesterday but cold water still lingers to our north.

the 'swell' seems a touch bigger than yesterday but the tide is super high and it's barely breaking. water temps are finally reasonable. forecast wind is northeast at 5 to 10 mph.

High pressure over the Outer Banks will move slowly offshore through Monday. A weak cold front will move slowly south through the area Monday and Monday night. Strong high pressure will build in from the north Tuesday and Wednesday...then move S of the area through the end of the workweek.small and dribbly. wind is forecast to increase to 5 to 10 mph from the south.

north east wind on the surf this morning. the swell appears to be out of the southeast and not good at all at the jetties. frisco is waist to chest high and much better but has sideshore wind on it and a bit inconsistant. photos from buxton.
