I was really surprised when I checked the ocean at 8:00AM. Corolla has a decent long board wave but we were all expecting more ground swell from Marie. The wind (at this posting) is light & out of the SW. Recommendation is to wait for the tide to drop. We are watching the swell forecast for this weekend. The wind might switched & come out of the ENE but stay posted. NOTE: SHOP HOURS ARE 8:00am TO 6:00pm TILL FURTHER NOTICE. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
N of Pier had a few good rides. Filling in fast after 8 a.m. which was mid way between peak low and rising high tide. The midway point seems to be best these days.
Wailst high with some bigger sets. Winds are SW early but are forcasted to go NW later in the day. May see some fun clean conditions later in the day. Looking like waves for Mon. We'll keep you posted.
should be super fun this morning but the wind is going to get on it this afternoon. Try to get out this morning, if not the afternoon surf will still be fun just not as clean. Jellys are everywhere. Peolple react different to the stings. I just get itchy, but my sons get massive welts from them so be ready to treat some stings. Have fun and be safe.
this is IRB at 10:00am this morning.no surf makers on the horzion.east coast is only 2 t3ft this morning, but it should pick up by the weekend with swells from maria.last pic is sebastion inlet.
I got up before sunrise hoping that Marie would be sending Corolla some ground swell. I only found a very weak knee cap wave until 8:20AM. But by 8:30, an occasional rouge wave came in that was waist high. (Marie???) NOTE: PLEASE STOP BY THE SHOP & PICK UP YOUR HURRICANE IRENE BENEFIT TEES. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
