North Central, NI:
Wave size on Wednesday morning is in the chest to head high range with some overhead sets. Lots of rain passed through last night and early this morning so there is morning sickness and confusion in the water. The wind now is good with a very light ESE off / cross offshore breeze. The water in the main beach is really mixed up and hard to find a good wall. Every now and then a good left or right sneaks through. Tide is too high for the wedge outback right now but if the winds stays calm it should get better in a couple hours. Mostly overcast with 1 or 2 surfing. Pics 1 and 2 outback at Pistols, 3 and 4 of the main beach...
I just took these pictures in front of Albacore Street, in front of the surf shop. Despite the strong SSW, you might be able to get to the outside and catch the larger surf. Point is, the wind is not helping. Parents w/little groms (surfers): please watch the side shore current running south to north: NOTE: COROLLA SURF SHOP IN CONJUNCTION WITH COROLLA LIGHT RESORT IS SPONSORING WOUNDED WARRIORS PROGRAM FOR FAMILIES STAYING AT COROLLA LIGHT. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
Chest high with bigger sets. Winds are on it from the E early and will be most of the day. Should continue to build throughout the day and into the overnight as winds go SE. Looking like Fri will see clean up surf.
