Cape Hatteras, NC:
high tide around 8:30 this morning with the next low around 2:30 this afternoon. a bit too high this morning at the jetties and the swell has dropped some since yesterday evening. it looks a bit wobbly and disorganized, which it was yesterday. frisco was the ticket yesterday and when we get a report from over there we will update this report. camera battery death equals only one photo...sorry.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
i don't think it matters that the tide is high around 7:15 this morning as the surf is poor. it's dropped some as the wind has dropped out but the forecast is for northeast winds at 20 mph today and i'm sure it will pick up as the low riding the front moves along.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
very windy at the jetties. the surf hitting bigger north of the first jetty. we did check frisco and it's very small, maybe knee high. wind forecast is northeast at 20 to 25 this morning decreasing a bit this afternoon. the next low tide around 1 this afternoon.

blah........north winds today 15 to 20 mph. high tide around six this morning with the next low tide at noon. i can't imagine frisco is doing anything as it's too small over here to make anything happen over there.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
low tide around 11 AM, high tide around 5:45 PM. even though the wind is blowing from the northwest this morning, the forecast is calling for southeast winds switching to the southwest this afternoon. the surf has dropped considerably, it looks no bigger than waist high on the sets. i'm sure it will look better with a lower tide (???)

Cape Hatteras, NC:
hard to describe the mix of swell coming in this morning. one swell with an offshore wind would be great, but it looks like three swells. wind forecast is for west at 5 to 10 mph. looks like light winds for the next few days as the front stalls upon us. low tide around 9 this morning. things should improve as the weather moves away from us. obviously not much happening in the news as the channel 5 news crew is at the beach.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
i don't know what to say here. the low that formed off us yesterday has all but disappeared off the water vapor imagery. danny looks like a blob of clouds and the low associated with the approaching cold front now over the gulf states looks impressive. with that said the surf has dropped a bit since yesterday evening and has lost most of it's shape. the forecast east winds, increasing to 10 to 15 mph aren't going to help much. low tide around 8 this morning, high tide around 2:45 this afternoon. haven't seen it but frisco could be a better bet today.

low tide around 6 this morning with the next high tide around12:45 this afternoon. wind forecast is for light and variable switching to the south this afternoon. looks kind of like yesterday afternoon, a turn or two and then the wave mushes out or closes out. should improve with the incoming tide.

i put fun because i think it will improve somewhat as the day goes on. the winds have slacked off a bit since earlier. the swell still looks a bit doubled up. forecast is for south wind at 5 to 10 mph.
