slightly bigger than yesterday afternoon but a bit less organized and glassy. only one guy out early this morning struggling on a rental board. the tide looks high already but isn't until 11:15 this morning. low tide has been best all week but isn't happening again until around 4:45 this afternoon........the crystal clear water we had yesterday has muddied up some with the wind.
just a wee bit more surf today than yesterday. longer lines appear to becoming straight in from the east. high tide is around 10:30 this morning with low tide around 4 this afternoon. with the way the sandbars are right now afternoon will probably be the best bet for surf as it's been too deep around high tide. wind forecast is for south at 5 to 10 mph.
eewww...even smaller than yesterday afternoon. good news is that it's glassy with light offshore winds. forecast is for northwest at 5 to 10 mph this morning switching to east this afternoon. bad news is that it looks like high tide at mid tide and is really, really small. high tide around 9:45 this morning with the next low tide at 3:15 this afternoon. get out that skimboard.
cleaner lines this morning than yesterday with light sw wind. once again the tide is too high with high tide at 9 AM. should improve with a lower tide just as it did yesterday. low tide is at 3 PM. forecast is for south winds at 5 to 10 mph. water temp yesterday was in the low 70's at the lighthouse.
definitely a drop off from yesterday and less organized. no wind this morning. the tide is super high and it's not high tide yet. high tide at 8:30 this morning with low tide around 2:00 this afternoon. forecast is for light winds out of the south at 5 to 10 mph. look for an improvement as low tide approaches. pictures from the lighthouse. the southside actually has better sandbars right now than here in buxton.
swell from the southeast this morning but the tide is too high everywhere. high tide at 7:45 this morning with a low tide at 1:30 this afternoon. the wind is blowing east enough to mess up the lighthouse and put a slight bump on the water at frisco. frisco appears more lined up than buxton. looks like as the tide goes out there should be some fun peaks here and there. pictures are from the lighthouse.
photos are from the lighthouse. as you can see the high tide and north wind are a factor. the surf is mostly chest high. high tide is around 7 this morning with a low tide around 1 this afternoon. the wind is forecast to be north at 10 to 15 mph. no photos of the southside but it is chest to shoulder high and also being affected by the high tide a bit. should improve over there as the tide lowers out.
Calm winds, glassy , a little more swell than expected. Tide way to high, might be a little wave later this am if the wind doesn't come up to soon. Forecast SSW 10-15
Wind is blowing NE this am. Lighthouse is choppy and maybe knee high. Frisco is slightly bigger, maybe waist high? but that would be right at the peak on the biggest set. The wind is forecast to come east.
very light wind this morning as the weak front passes through. winds are to increase to 15 mph this morning out of the north and then 5 to 10 mph out of the northeast this afternoon. winds back to the southeast tonight. low tide around 7 this morning and high around 1:30 this afternoon. frisco is pretty small also.
