There is potential, clear skies and offshore wind. However, the surf right now at Ocean Beach is a mix of closeouts, dumpy waves, and mushballs. It could definitely improve today at some point..keep your eye on it.

Pismo Beach, CA:

Absolutely gorgeous day. Moderate offshores 1 to 3 ft and clean. Perfect for a longboard.

New Smyrna Beach, FL:

Ridable but not worth it to me. Rare 2.5 ft sets..Inlet slightly bigger. SW winds are on it early and will be increasing. Go back to SLEEEEP

Comments:   Waist to chest high and clean.  Winds are WNW early but will go more West later in the day.  Looks like some fun little waves, get on it before the wind does.

1/29/09 – Apologies for the horrendous picture quality (tried auto and manual) – it’s early in the morning! There’s just a kiss of NE wind and pretty darn nice looking stomach-high wave coming in with a pretty nice line to it. Find your high tide spot and get on it before it decays!!
