Good afternoon from the OB pier in San Diego - We're still waiting for the first of a series of big WNW swells to hit. Waves have been quite small all week but super clean... bring your longboard. Right now, waves are knee-waist high, a rare stomach high one coming in but we may see a couple chest-high sets arrive before the day is done. There's a steady NW wind blowing now giving the surface some texture. Save your energy for the next several days; with the way things are looking, you just may need it.
1/16/08 – Really cold, really glassy, and really small out there – 1 foot to maybe knee-high. Granted, I’m a sucker for anything glassy, but every now and then there’s a pretty little set of waves that comes in. Way too cold and small though to give it go. Have a great day- hats off to you if you’re working outside today - pics from Bogue Inlet Pier.
