Ocean Beach, CA:

Very good morning from the OB pier in SD - Lookin good, lookin good. Our new WNW swell is filling in nicely and the lines have cleaned up since yesterday. Early morning offshore flow has waves glassy and in the stomach to head high range. 1 on the south side of the pier; 10 on the north; 15 at little jetty. A couple heads at the dog beach jetty too. Air temp: 53F. Water temp: 59F. Get on it before the tide starts dropping out... the sets are looking super fun.

Emerald Isle, NC:

1/7/08 – Not nearly as big (or gnarly) as you might expect with the S/SW wind blowing as hard as she is. Maybe waist-high and just rolling on in – real mushy and the faces (or at least what is out there) are very low slope. Keep an eye on it over the next 24+ hours. Comments:  Chest high with some bigger sets.  Winds are on it from the ENE early and will be all day.  Should see building conditions throughout the day.  May see some little clean leftovers on Thurs/Frid.
