The issue is the wind. Current speed is 17 to 20 mph. This is just too much speed and is chopping up the ocean surface conditions. But the southern wind is leaving Corolla with air temps in the 60’s. Wave height is thigh to waist but the tide is going to need to go out before it starts breaking. NOTE: WE WILL BE OPEN THIS WEEKEND. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
Monday’s surf is probably the best conditions I have seen in about a week. Corolla has a light SSW wind. Wind speed is only 6 to 9 mph at this posting. Wave height is thigh to waist with an out-going tide at this posting. Decent longboard day with mild fall weather. The forecast for this week is continued mild weather: GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
Sunday’s surf is the same as yesterday’s surf. The wind is out of the North to northeast. Wave height is thigh to waist with choppy surface conditions. Air temp was 44 degrees this AM but the sun is out so it should go up into the mid 50’s.NOTE: GREAT HOLIDAY GIFT! GIFT CERTIFICATES FOR SURF LESSONS. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
