Oceanside, CA:
Head high but very walled off going into peak low tide at 9:30. Was better 6:30 to 7:30 and should be better in transition to high tide. There were good corners if you could catch them. Break points not consistent.

Oceanside, CA:
Walled off inside break. Lack of NW swell to create peaks. Occasional head high waves. Lots of surfers in the water, but few getting rides.

Oceanside, CA:
It's surfable 1-2 inside break, but not exciting. A few surfers in the water getting short rides. Maybe better in few hours as high tide approaches

Oceanside, CA:
A little more wind and current today than yesterday. At peak low tide right now. Lately, best surf at 3 hours after peak low tide in the mornings. That would make 9:30 to 10:30 the target.

Oceanside, CA:
Calm seas following two days of closeouts and rips. Nice 2 foot at peak low tide. Should build to 3+ in a few hours heading to high tide.

Oceanside, CA:
Last few days have been stormy with big rip and mushy waves. North side of pier still had some good left breaks with pier breaking up the larger swell and slowing the rip.

Oceanside, CA:
Nice clean 2 foot wave which could be fun on a long board. Ocean glassy and no wind. Three hours before peak high tide so this may be as good as it gets til after high tide.

Oceanside, CA:
PST. Calm seas and no wind, but no waves as we head into peak high tide at 8:45 a.m.. Looks filled in. I have found that 2 hrs after peak high tide is a good time. Yesterday was steady flow of 2-3 foot with plenty to ride for everyone. My long board was fun.

Oceanside, CA:
Pst. Filled in as we head for 7:45 peak high tide. Weak SW and NW swells. Clear clean conditions. Last night Kelly Slater visited Oceanside on behalf of Channel Island Surfboards who were demoing boards for free to surfers all day.

Oceanside, CA:
PST. Same as last few days. Small swell and waves. Swells far apart so patience needed. 2-3 foot waves are best for longer boards but at some points short boards can get under peaks and get a nice run on pocket.

Oceanside, CA:
PST. A little misty rain. Waves flat and looks filled in as we move to 10:45 a.m. peak low tide. No surfers in the water. Forecasts say 2.7 and 1.1 swells which means not much wave action.

Oceanside, CA:
Surf at Oceanside S Pier to Tyson Overcast and calm with no wind. Very flat as we go into 9 a.m. peak low tide. Even though Surf is predicted at 5 foot in some San Diego breaks it won’t occur until after low tide or maybe in the afternoon when the wind also picks up. The problem today and yesterday from very closed off surf at Oceanside is no NW swell to mix it up with prevailing SW swell
