UPDATE AT 2:24 PM: SWELLL IS PICKING UP SIZE. CAUTION: STRONG RIPS CURRENTS. WAVE HEIGHT IS NOW NOSE HIGH!!!
I took these pictures at my home break at 7:30 AM. Liam Saffer (CSS & GFG Team Rider) & Dave Blackwood (CSS Surf Instructor) are taking advantage of clean AM thigh high surf. Corolla has hardly any wind, semi-glassy surface conditions and an H2O of 81 degrees Fahrenheit: NOTE: WE ALMOST HAVE A FULL SURF CLASS TODAY AND TOMORROW. You can book on-line or call us 252 453 9283, GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
Finally! We some height to the surf. The on-shore wind has helped to increase size but is also giving us chop. I took these pictures on the North beaches. There are a selction of decent breaks with no one in the water. If you go to Swan/Carova, just make sure you obey the speed limit: NOTE: THIS IS GOING TO BE A VERY BUSY WEEK! IF YOU ARE DONE HERE AND WANT TO TAKE A SURF LESSON, PLEASE CALL US AT 252 453 9283 (WAVE).
I was going through some photos on my hard drive and started putting together a few sequence shots. Well, that quickly turned into me being glued to the computer for around 9 hours and I ended up with "Flippin' Through Pics". Which is a completely random edit. Photos shot with a Canon T4i and footage taken with an Iphone 5c
The “X†factor today is the wind. Wind direction is from the ESE blowing at 15 to 17 mph. Surface conditions are choppy and wave height is thigh high w/no specific definition to the sections at this posting. But if wind speed backs off, there might be cleaner surf in the PM: NOTE: NEXT THURSDAY, COROLLA SURF SHOP WILL BE HOSTING A PARTY FEATURING JOLYN BATHING SUITS PARTY AND TENT SALE. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
Just a classic July small surf day! Wave height is only knee cap high. Corolla currently has an incoming tide. If you want to go surfing today, find a very shallow well defined sandbar. H2O is 79 degrees. NOTE: NEXT WEEK IS GOING TO BE VERY BUSY. PLESE OUR ON-LINE SERVICE TO RESERVE YOUR SURF LESSON. GRAY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
