Late April early May surf was going off in the Outer Banks. Spotlight on local KDH surfer Quentin Turko, who took home the Junior Men's win for the second year in a row at the Eastern Surfing Association Regional Championships.
The steady South to southeast wind is not keeping waist high sections from working it was to Corolla. This is the third day of decent surf. (At this posting), Corolla has an outgoing tide. There should be a size increase once the tide flips but just keep an eye on the wind. nother good day of surf!! Wave hight is waist to chest and (at this posting) Corolla has a light wind. My "guessestimation/recommendation" would be to catch the flipping tide after 12:00 Noon. You can bring out your shorter high performance board. But you will also need at least a spring or full 3.2mm wetsuit. H2O is 57 degrees near the shore.
