We were all hoping that TS Ana would deliver bigger swell but that is not what you see the pictures I just took on the North Beach. Mushy wind blown choppy knee cap high swell is what we are seeing. H2O temps dropped down from 65 to 59 degrees Fahrenheit degrees. Ana is having some effect on wave size but not as much as I was expecting. Wave height is around waist to chest on the faces. Swell direction is ESE creating primarily right on the North beaches. The wind is also out of the SE but only blowing at 16 to 18 mph. NOTE: I WILL REPORT ON A “PER NEED†BASIS DURING THE DAY AS CONDITIONS DICTATE. GARY, GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
Some good news but also we still have choppy surface conditions. The on-shore wind is chopping on the surface and wave height is only knee to thigh high. The Good News: the on-shore wind has bumped water temps up to 63 degrees Fahrenheit. I would call today a decent practice day. Board of choice could be a fat fish w/thickness.
