We had a little taste of winter last night. Air temps took a drop into the high 30’s. Wave height is waist to chest. There is a strong NNW wind and swell direction is out of the ENE. There are sections where you can make a quick drop but surface conditions are choppy. Plus, there is a strong side-shore current running north to south. The good news: the weather forecast for next week is for warmer spring conditions. NOTE: WE ARE OPEN EVERY DAY. WE OFFER FREE DELIVERY ON ALL OF OUR RENTAL PRODUCTS. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
I just took these pictures in North Corolla. Wind direction is out of the ENE. The pictures are showing choppy wind blown waist high surf. Swell direction is out of the East but there are cross sections that are coming out of the Southeast. Water & air temps are matching each other at 45 degrees Fahrenheit. NOTE: LISTEN TO THE COROLLA SURF SHOP SURF REPORT, M-F ON 99.1 THE SOUND @ 8:15AM. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
Getting some slow motion water footage in at the wedge before Cyclone Pam rolls through this weekend fingers crossed. Filmed at 720 - 120 fps on narrow view.
