Good morning! It is an overcast morning out here on Pensacola Beach. The surf is flat. It is still the Lake of Mexico out here. The winds are coming out of the NNE at 6-7 mph causing for offshore conditions and flatness. High tide is at 12:37 this afternoon and will be going out for the rest of the day. The forecast is so dismal for the next few days. Maybe we will have surf....One day. Have a great Thursday. Be safe if you are traveling!
The only pre Hurricane Arthur effects we are seeing at this posting is a side-shore wind blowing at 17 to 20 mph. Wave height is only around knee cap hight (at 7:15AM). However, I will do updates as conditions warrant. NOTE: WE DO NOT RENT PLASTIC HEAVY SUP's or SURFBOARDS. WE RENT EXPOXY STAND-UP PADDLE AND SURFBOARDS. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
Good surfing today in Santa Teresa. Old SSW swell peaked and new S swell slowly starts to fill in. Waves were over head and there were some sporadic bigger sets at exposed breaks. Although water was glassy and conditions were nice, surf was a bit unorganized and peaks were shifting at the beach break. There were some few but really good waves at the peak upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary.
Waist high with some bigger sets. Winds are S early and will be all day. Some waves coming for the weekend as Tropical Storm Arthur makes it's way up the coast.
I actually thought the surf would be smaller. At this posting, Corolla has a weak knee cap high wave and a ESE-E-SSW wind blowing at 12 mph. The wind was blowing as hard as 15 to 20 mph last night. At this posting, I do not see any signs of the tropical storm but once conditions start changing, I will be posting as situation warrants. NOTE: PLEASE BOOK YOUR SURF LESSON AHEAD OF TIME.
